Distinguished Conclusion of Horse Racing Season The final horse race meeting of 2017/2018 was held under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Saidi, minister of legal affairs, organized by Royal Horse Racing Club at Al Rahbace horse racecourse at Barka province. The meeting included five races, interspersed by equestrian shows by Royal Cavalry’s riders such as displays of mounted music, show horses, Rakdh Al Ardah, equestrian skills and children display on ponies.  After sever competition, the cup of pure Arabians and imported horses, for 2000m, was won by stallion Amaar, owned by Mahboob Hashmani, trained by Sultan Al Hajri and ridden by Issa Al Bulushi. While the cup of thoroughbred horses race, for 2000m, was won by Dubai Iconic, owned by Ramzi Al Falahi, trained by Mohammed Al Siabi and ridden by Anas Al Siabi. The cup of pure Arabians race, for 2000m, was won by Meblsh, owned by Sheikh Sad Bahwan, trained by Bader Al Hajri, and ridden by Mutasim Al Bulushi. The cup of FEGENTRI was won by Awesome Kudos, ridden by Fatma Al Manji from Oman, owned by Qais Al Zakwani, and trained by Zuhair Al Zakwani. A group of various countries took part in the race which was confined for pure Arabians for 1600m.   The cup for local bred horses, for 1600m, was won by stallion Al Saktoun, owned and trained by Humaid Al Mahrooqi and ridden by Asad Al Siyabi. His excellency the patron presented the prizes and cups to winners at the conclusion of the meeting which was attended by a number of ministers, undersecretaries and horse fans.  08/04/2018

Royal Cavalry’s Siya Second In Tolouse Race Royal Cavalry’s Siya came second in the Tolouse races in France, which were confined for pure Arabian for 2000m. The horse was ridden by Antony Christes and trained by Bernard.   Al Ghashamiya, owned by Al Shaqab Racing, won the race and came first, she was ridden by Julien Auge and trained by T. Fourcy.   While Djelilla, owned by Jean Marc De Waterigant, came third, she was ridden by Joritz Mendizabal and trained by D. Watrigant.   It is said the race saw hard competition between Al Ghashamiya and Siya and was won by little nose only.  19/03/2018
